First Bell 525 Delivery Slated for 2017
The 525 Relentless won’t be delivered to its first operators until 2017, Textron Chairman and CEO Scott Donnelly told financial analysts today in explaining the Bell Helicopter parent’s second-quarter earnings. The 525 first flew July 1; the manufacturer had aimed to get the super-medium twin in the air before the end of 2014. Donnelly said interest in the 525 is strong; in the second quarter, he said, Bell received 30 additional letters of intent from customers to purchase the fly-by-wire helicopter.
