DUBLIN – Norwegian regional airline Wideroe has placed an order for up to 15 Embraer E2 jets in a bet that it can fill large regional jets while sticking to its niche airline model. The order, part of Embraer’s 2016 backlog, was announced on the sidelines of the Airline Economics Growth Frontiers conference in Dublin. It is made up of three firm orders for the E190-E2 and purchase rights for an additional twelve aircraft that can be either E175-E2s, 190-E2s or E-195-E2s.
