Engine shut down - E145 USA - Curt Lewis

 
Incident: Envoy E145 at Sioux City on May 22nd 2017, engine shut down in flight

A Envoy Air Embraer ERJ-145, registration N694AE performing flight MQ-3322/AA-3322 from Chicago O'Hare,IL to Sioux City,IA (USA) with 46 people on board, was descending through about 10,000 feet on approach to Sioux City when the crew stated "that's starting to turn into a bad day, we have got a weird indication for the #2 engine" and reported they had oil temperature was going up and down and beyond the red line, the crew was therefore proceeding for shut the engine down as a precaution and declared emergency, "for the tapes it got almost up to about 200 degrees C" the crew added. The aircraft continued the approach, joined the ILS for runway 31 and landed safely about 10 minutes later.

The occurrence aircraft remained on the ground for 39 hours, then positioned to Chicago as flight MQ-9803.
