Flyoperativt Forum 2018

Qantas Flight 32 was a Qantas scheduled passenger flight that suffered an uncontained engine failure on 4 November 2010 and made an emergency landing at Singapore Changi Airport. The failure was the first of its kind for the Airbus A380, the world's largest passenger aircraft. It marked the first aviation occurrence involving an Airbus A380. On inspection it was found that a turbine disc in the aircraft's No. 2 Rolls-Royce Trent 900 engine (on the port side nearest the fuselage) had disintegrated. In addition to destruction of the engine, this caused damage to the nacelle, wing, fuel system, landing gear, flight controls, the controls for engine No. 1 and a fire in the left inner wing fuel tank that self-extinguished.[1] The failure was determined to have been caused by the breaking of a stub oil pipe which had been manufactured improperly. Hei alle sammen / Hello to you all

FoF 2018
Since April we have traveled around at safety conferences and gathered good topics and lecturers. Next FoF is April 9 - 11 at the same hotel at Gardermoen. The program begins to take shape and on the website [http://fof.aero/en/agenda-2018/] you can see those that already have  confirmed their attendance.

Program
Capt. Walter Schwyzer vil snakke om Airmanship og The Limits of Pilot Monitoring. Prof. Johan Bergström vil snakke om Resilience in Aviation og Erik Hollnagel vil snakke om Safe in an Unsafe World.

In recent years, we have had pilots present their extraordinary event. Those who were present last year remember Jeff Skiles, the co-pilot who landed on the Hudson River. This year we get an equally spectacular event. It was classified as a "Black Swan" event where it is practically impossible to train on such a scenario. So for this year's event in 2018, the Captain experienced over 100 warnings and cautions, and it took over 50 minutes to go through everything! The Captain with his crew and phenomenal piece of Airmanship landed safely. We say no more, but we're sure you'll like this.

We wish to wish you all a nice pre Christmas time and remember the dates for next year's Aviation-happening 9 - 11 April 2018 at Gardermoen.
Vennlig hilsen alle oss i FoF.
