Flapsen fungerte ikke som den skulle da flyet var på vei inn for landing ved Tromsø lufthavn Langnes ved sekstiden fredag kveld, skriver Nordlys. Flaps brukes for å gi større vingeareal, slik at fly kan lette og lande i lavere hastighet.
– Det går an å lande uten, men da må flyet ha høyere hastighet ved landing, forklarer lufthavnsjef Hans Børre Joakimsen.

The pilot of a UTair flight from Bangkok to the Siberian city of Novosibirsk  died of sudden heart failure three hours after takeoff, and the plane was landed  successfully by the co-pilot, Life News reported Friday.
A doctor on board  the Boing 757 attempted to revive the pilot, 44-year-old Sergei Golyev, but was  unsuccessful.

Som kjent så er USAF på leting etter en etterfølger til T-38 som nå er en 51 år gammel design. Etter at AW&amp;ST hadde et bilde på forsiden av et nummer i november, så har saken tatt av. På bildet var en T-38 og en kandidat til å ta over etter den, en BA Hawk. Jeg er enig med dem som mener at T-38 er et mye penere fly enn Hawk og Aermacchi M346. Flyet trenger bare ny innmat.
