UVS Intl. skriver til EU kommisjonen

Integreringen av Unmanned Aerial Systems i såkalt kommersielt luftrom, går særdeles tregt. Teknikken er der, men det er en voldsom vegring i byråkrtiet, også i transportdivisjonen i EU. UAS Norway har, sammen med 112 institusjoner og medlemmer av UAS Int. sent en omfattende pakke med dokumentasjon til Siim Kallas som er visepresiden i EU kommisjonen og leder for transport der. Her står det i innledningen.
We are confident that the attached documents will contribute to motivating the European Commission to:

- recognise the strategic value of the UAS-related technologies for Europe;
- recognise the importance of the societal benefits that UAS can bring to Europe;
- play an active role to enable the early insertion of UAS into non-segregated airspace and thereby open up the European UAS market;
- provide the European UAS community with the necessary support, which will permit it to position itself favorably in an international context.
