Bristow Group opens new route

Bristow Helicopters has started regular flights between Stavanger Sola and Brønnøysund airports, the company reports.
Norway general manager Renee De Jong tells Aftenbladet the three-year BP Skarv gas field contract, using a Sikorsky S-92, will ferry employees at least five times per week.
With its personnel of two pilots plus two technicians, the helicopter is also available to undertake other assignments from its rented base as required.
Mr De Jong will not disclose how much the contract is worth, but says both options can each be extended one year at a time.
Moreover, three of Bristow Norway’s S-92s will begin flying Statoil employees between Bergen Flesland and its western Norway offshore oil and gas installations on 15 January. The ten-year contract is the largest in Norwegian Continental Shelf history.
