Bristow Acquires Stake in Cougar Helicopters

Cougar Helicopters of Canada has entered into an agreement with the Bristow Group giving Bristow a minority interest in the largest SAR and offshore service provider in Canada. The $250-million agreement covers the purchase of eight Sikorsky S-92s, plus maintenance facilities for passenger and SAR operations in Labrador, Newfoundland and Nova Scotia. Cougar currently has a fleet of S-61s, S-76s, S-92s and Bell 222s.
