Quest Delivers 100th Kodiak
Turboprop Single
Quest Aircraft delivered the 100th
Kodiak turboprop single during a ceremony today at its Sandpoint, Idaho factory,
a milestone that comes less than six years after the first Kodiak was handed over to a customer
in January 2008. Sunstate Aviation, a Part 91 operator based in Phoenix, took
delivery of the centennial aircraft. “This delivery today represents a major
milestone in the history of Quest,” said company president and CEO Sam Hill.
“Since the beginning, we have been committed to building a rugged, reliable
aircraft that provides operators the versatility to accomplish any mission.”
According to Sunstate founder Mike Watts, the Kodiak is the perfect aircraft for
his company. “It has the performance capabilities I was looking for and a cabin
with the right mix of personal comfort and space for baggage and other equipment
that we need,” he said. The Kodiak is currently certified in 12 countries, with
additional approvals in process. Quest said the turboprop singles are in service
around the world with charter operators, small businesses, personal owners,
governments and humanitarian organizations.
