Seattle-based testing follow's testing of the low-speed performance of the aircraft at QinetiQ's Farnborough, U.K. facility.

"Data from these tests will allow us to validate our airplane cruise performance models in support of our ongoing design efforts," said Terry Beezhold, vice president and chief project engineer of the 777X program.

Engineers will use data to validate computational fluid dynamics predictions and support preliminary loads cycle development. Boeing is on track to reach firm configuration of the 777X in 2015.
