Heli-Expo 2014 Set for
Liftoff in Anaheim
The Helicopter Association
International’s Heli-Expo
2014 show next week isn’t expected to showcase many entirely new rotorcraft
programs, but early indications are that records may be broken in the orders
department. The show officially opens on Monday, and the exhibit halls will be
open from Tuesday morning through Thursday afternoon. More than 60 helicopters
are expected at the Anaheim Convention Center static display (inside the exhibit
hall), as well as more than 700 exhibitors. Back again this year is the Rotor
Safety Challenge, a series of 44 free safety sessions and events open to anyone
(no exhibit hall pass required), and a certificate of recognition will be
awarded to those who attend at least six Safety Challenge sessions. All
attendees are invited to the HAI Welcome Reception at 7 p.m. on Monday, then the
show kicks off in earnest on Tuesday with the 8 a.m. Annual Membership Meeting
& Breakfast and the Heli-Expo opening ceremony at 10:15 a.m. AIN will
be publishing daily issues of HAI Convention News on Tuesday, Wednesday
and Thursday, as well as live news on AINonline,
daily issues of AINalerts from Monday to Thursday and video coverage on
AINtv.
