Det kommer ikke noe mer fra meg før interessante funn skulle dukke opp. Det kan ta lang tid. Dersom funn av FDR/CVR gjøres, så tipper jeg at det eneste en kan få fra dem er at flyet fungerte som det skulle til motorene stoppet på grunn av brennstoffmangel. På CVR vil  en høre at noen forsøker å bryte seg inn i cockpit, dersom ikke alle er døde av surstoffmangel. Kan tenkes at flygeren senket kabintrykket... Bare en spekulasjon naturligvis, men jeg tror de finner vraket. Akkurat nå leser jeg at det er observert en oljeflekk i leteområdet. Vel, dersom flyet slapp opp for brennstoff, så stammer dette antakelig fra en annen kilde.

KUALA LUMPUR: The multinational mission to locate the missing Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 continues with 12 military and civil aircraft deployed for the search efforts today.

Australia's Joint Agency Coordination Centre (JACC), in a statement today, said the Australian Maritime Safety Authority has planned a visual search area covering approximately 47,644 square kilometres (km).

JACC, which is leading the mission, said the centre of the search areas lies approximately 2,200km north west of Perth.

The agency also said Australian Defence Vessel Ocean Shield continues more focused sweeps with the Towed Pinger Locator to try and locate further signals related to aircraft black boxes.

"The AP-3C Orions (aircraft) continue their acoustic search, working in conjunction with Ocean Shield,” JACC said in the statement.

JACC added the HMS Echo oceanographic ship is also working in the area with Ocean Shield.

“There have been no confirmed acoustic detections over the past 24 hours.

“The weather forecast for today is south easterly winds with possible showers, sea swells up to 1.5 metre and visibility of between three to five kilometres.”

The Beijing-bound Boeing 777 disappeared with 239 passengers and crew members on March 8. It was last detected in the southern Indian Ocean.

MH370 Tragedy: Malaysia must upgrade its defence system: Hisham

KUALA LUMPUR: In light of the Malaysia Airlines MH370 tragedy, Defence Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein notes there is a need to upgrade the country's defence system to strengthen its security in the future.

He said such a move was needed in view of the necessity to disclose sensitive military radar information in the search for the Boeing 777-200ER aircraft which vanished on March 8.
"We've made a very courageous decision to put aside national security and interests by disclosing some of our sensitive military radar information in the early stages of the search and rescue mission.
