OMNI Táxi-Aéreo SA has tapped Heli-One to upgrade key components on two Sikorsky Aircraft S-61Ns supporting onshore oil and gas installations in Brazil. Among the world's largest providers of maintenance repair and overhaul (MRO) services, Heli-One will perform fit-for-purpose upgrades of the aircraft's General Electric CT58 engines as well as main, intermediate and tail-rotor gearboxes, and main- and tail-rotor heads. Brazil's National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC) earlier this year will be at Heli-One's facility in Boundary Bay, British Columbia, to work on Brazilian aircraft, the company said, adding that all of its engine and component MRO facilities around the world are now ANAC-certified.
