Airline consolidation has been a much slower process in Europe than in the U.S. Now Lufthansa is about to take another tiny step ahead by fully consolidating with Brussels Airlines, a carrier in which it has so far only held a minority stake. Lufthansa Group’s supervisory board will address the issue at its next meeting, ahead of the April 28 annual general meeting. The company says a decision on Brussels Airlines will be made before the end of the second quarter.
