Rotortrade Tapped To Find New Homes for Ex-CHC Helos |
Global helicopter brokerage Rotortrade Services has reported a busy first quarter, with 11 deals involving 18 countries. It has also been retained by the law firm of Holland & Knight to assist with the liquidation of 13 helicopters that were previously asset-encumbered and subsequently abandoned as part of the CHC bankruptcy reorganization plan.
Under the CHC disposal plan, Rotortrade Services assisted in evaluating the options available to the lenders with respect to the helicopters. This fleet included Airbus EC225 and AS332L1, Leonardo AW139 and Sikorsky S76C++ models in offshore and SAR configurations located in the UK, Norway, Netherlands, South Africa and Brazil.
The four EC225s were manufactured from 2007 to 2015, are offshore and full SAR mission ready and range from as little as 20 factory hours' to 8,800 hours' total time. Each is fully airworthy and none is affected by the outstanding main gearbox AD. Optional equipment on these helicopters includes emergency floats, extra range capability, dual hoist, infrared camera, anti-ice system and contemporary avionics and navigational equipment with full four-axis autopilot.
