Palm Beach Questions Use of Trump S-76B at Mar-a-Lago |
Palm Beach, Florida, officials apparently questioned use of a corporate Trump helicopter at a Mar-a-Lago helipad during the holidays. The Palm Beach Post reported that the town was weighing whether a warning letter was in order, quoting public safety director Kirk Blouin as saying, “It was a private helicopter on the grounds of Mar-a-Lago. That…may be evidence of a violation of our town codes.”
The local police confirmed that no warning letters have been issued, but noted that on Jan. 10, 2017, the Palm Beach Town Council had authorized use of the helipad at the Mar-a-Lago location “for business related to the presidency only.”
The helicopter spotted at Mar-a-Lago on December 30, a Sikorsky S-76B (N7TP), displayed the Trump logo and is registered to DT Connect II, a company headed by the President’s son, Eric Trump. Eric Trump does not hold any official role in the Trump administration.
