Flight headed to Phoenix makes emergency landing in Cedar

Cedar Rapids (KWWL) - A flight headed to Phoenix from
Chicago made an emergency landing at Eastern Iowa Airport Monday
night.
United Airlines Flight 438 took off from Chicago O'Hare
International Airport at 9:33 p.m.
It landed in Cedar Rapids at 10:56
p.m.
United Airlines says UA 483 made an emergency landing due to a
mechanical issue. They say the aircraft landed safely and was taxied to a
gate.
United says they are working to get the passengers to Phoenix this
morning.
Information on the website FlightAware.com shows that the Boeing
737 dropped around 3,000 feet in about two minutes.
United Airlines
Flight 438 normally runs from Buffalo to Chicago, and then on to Phoenix.
