PIA
A320 recorders
Investigators have downloaded information from the two flight recorders
retrieved from the Pakistan International Airlines Airbus A320 which crashed in
Karachi.
French investigation authority BEA states that - at the request of the
Pakistani inquiry team - it has "successfully" obtained information
from the cockpit-voice and flight-data recorders.
"Analysis of data is in progress and will continue this week," it
adds.
The inquiry team has yet to release any detailed information about the
circumstances of the 22 May accident.
But there is evidence that the twinjet touched down with its landing-gear
either retracted or partially deployed, and attempted a go-around before losing
power and crashing in a built-up area short of the runway.
