Enemy aircraft have crossed over the British coast and it's up to you
to identify them. Do you have what it takes?
80 years ago, the Observer Corps were a vital part in protecting the
skies above South East England during the Battle of Britain. Yet when people
reflect on the events of 1940, they are often overlooked in favour of
‘the Few’ flying overhead.
Today we are shining a light on the Observer Corps role - in the form
of our new virtual reality experience!
Put yourself in the shoes of one of the many civilian volunteers who
spotted aircraft and provided key information to Operations Rooms across the
country, as we take you back to 15 September 1940; the day that saw the
heaviest of Luftwaffe attack.
You’ll be up against the clock to spot and identify incoming enemy
raids and report your observations back to Fighter Command.
