S-76D - Ca. 5 år forsinket


FAA Grants Type Certificate for Sikorsky S-76D

Medium twin features Pratt & Whitney PW210S engines, Thales avionics and HUMS.

Sikorsky has received the long-awaited type certificate for the S-76D from FAA. The manufacturer can now begin to address a backlog estimated at nearly $500 million related to the medium twin, which features Pratt & Whitney Canada PW210S engines, Thales TopDeck avionics, a health and usage monitoring system (HUMS) and all-composite main rotor blades. Also optional is a Rotor Ice Protection System (RIPS).
