2012 Cormorant Trophy Goes to Canadian SAR Squad

AgustaWestland has presented the 2012 Cormorant Trophy to the Rescue 915 crew of the 103 Search and Rescue Squadron at Canadian Forces Base Gander in Newfoundland. The Rescue 915 crew was recognized for an October 2011 mission involving an AW101, which rescued two walrus hunters and two SAR Techs from the 424 Squadron at Canadian Forces Base Trenton that had become stranded on an ice flow in the Arctic Sea. The Guild of Air Pilots and Air Navigators (GAPAN) recognized both SAR rescue teams with the Guild Award for Gallantry.
