Farnborough roundup - US$124 billion worth in sales and orders - FIA

What a show!   Now that the dust has settled and everyone has had a chance to re-charge their batteries, we would like to say a massive thank you for attending the Farnborough International Airshow 2016.  We hope that you achieved your business goals and that the show was a success for you.   FIA 2016 has seen an abundance of networking and business meetings over the course of the trade week.  With 1500 exhibitors and 73,000 trade visits from every sector from all over the world, orders and commitments beat industry expectations, with US$124 billion worth being announced during the show - proving once again that Farnborough is THE place to do business.  Download a full list of show statistics below.     InfoGraphics - Stats.pdf   Show highlights and Farnborough Firsts include the Bombardier C-series, Aribus neo, Boeing 787Max, Embraer who brought three aircraft, Hondajet, Dornier Dart-450 and of course the Lockheed Martin F-35.   Other major features of the show include increased SME participation, a record breaking delegations programme, the ever popular Meet the Buyer programme and the overall breadth of pioneering new technology being showcased at the show.    As we draw a close to FIA 2016, we will now start the planning for FIA 2018 (16th – 22nd July 2018) which is already looking exciting with the construction of our new exhibition and conference facilities.  If you would like to step up your participation at FIA 2018 and are interested in exhibition space, please contact exhibit@farnborough.com.   We will of course be in contact with you over the coming months to update you of any 2018 show news and developments and we will let you know when tickets are available for FIA2018.    That just leaves us to say thank you again and we wish you all the best for the rest of the year and we look forward to welcoming you back in 2018.   Kind regards The Farnborough International Airshow Team
