India Orders Four More P-8I Aircraft India has signed a follow-on order to buy four maritime patrol aircraft from Boeing, worth about $1 billion, to replace the Indian navy’s fleet of Russian-origin Tu-142Ms. “The original contract worth about $2 billion, which was signed in January 2009, was for eight P-8I long-range aircraft,” says an Indian defense ministry official.
