Senate Democrats are asking the Congressional
Budget Office to account for “significant divergence” between the Pentagon’s
cost estimate for the Iran war and independent reports as the nonpartisan
agency calculates the conflict’s price tag.
The lawmakers said they are concerned the Trump
administration has not been “fully truthful or transparent” in its public
accounting of the war’s expenses.

A Russian drone entered NATO ally
Romania’s airspace and crashed into a residential building early Friday,
injuring two people and prompting broad condemnation of the Kremlin and its
ongoing war in Ukraine.
The drone crashed into the roof of an
apartment building in Galati during a Russian attack on civilian and
infrastructure targets in neighboring Ukraine, Romania’s Defense Ministry said
in a statement Friday.

Europa higer etter base for å få skutt opp smallsats, helst i Europa. ISAR Aerospace har enda ikke lykkes på Andøya etter en etter min oppfatning mislykket oppskytning. Samtidig maser EU om at Norge ikke kvalifiserer for slike oppslytninger som de mener bør skje fra et EU land. ISAR er i kontakt med Canada og visstnok også EsRange ved Kiruna. Sam Arne Whalley, sales manager for German launch startup Isar Aerospace, said there is an urgent need in Europe for sovereign access to space. The key question is how can European launch providers can be built to meet the need of European customers today.
Whalley said there has been an “explosion in requests” for missions up to 2035, and Isar Aerospace is working to manufacture up to 40 vehicles per year, building a new factory. “The technology is there, the market is there,” he said.
