Airbus update on A320 Family precautionary fleet action
Toulouse, France, 28 November 2025 –
Analysis of a recent event involving an A320 Family aircraft has
revealed that intense solar radiation may corrupt data critical to the
functioning of flight controls.
Airbus has consequently identified a significant number of A320 Family aircraft currently in-service which may be impacted.
Airbus has worked proactively with the aviation authorities to request
immediate precautionary action from operators via an Alert Operators
Transmission (AOT) in order to implement the available software and/or
hardware protection, and ensure the fleet is safe to fly. This AOT will
be reflected in an Emergency Airworthiness Directive from the European
Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA).
Airbus acknowledges these recommendations will lead to operational
disruptions to passengers and customers. We apologise for the
inconvenience caused and will work closely with operators, while keeping
safety as our number one and overriding priority.

Sweden and Saab selected for Poland’s new submarines
The Swedish government's offer of
Saab’s A26 submarines to Poland has been selected by the Polish government to
replace the current Kilo-class submarine. At this point, Saab has not signed
any contract nor received any order.
The Swedish offer comprises advanced A26 submarines from Saab, equipped
with the latest innovations and technologies. The proposal includes cooperation
with Polish industry and knowledge transfer, securing a strategic partnership
between Poland and Sweden.
“We are honoured to have been selected and look forward to the coming
negotiations with the Armaments Agency in Poland. The Swedish offer, featuring
submarines tailored for the Baltic Sea, is the right choice for the Polish
people. It will significantly enhance the operational capability of the Polish
Navy and benefit the Polish economy,” said Micael Johansson, President and CEO
of Saab.
Saab and the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV) will now
follow the next steps in the procurement process together with Polish
authorities.

Mandag 1. desember legger forsvarsminister Tore O. Sandvik frem regjeringens dronestrategi for forsvarssektoren.
Droner
Forsvaret har på Ted, den europeiske kunngjøringstjenesten for offentlige anskaffelser, publisert planer om å kjøpe avanserte antidrone-systemer (C-UAS) til en verdi av 750 millioner kroner (eks mva) over en periode på 4 år.
Ifølge kunngjøringen er målet med anskaffelsen å styrke beskyttelsen av kritisk infrastruktur som flybaser og andre viktige nasjonale installasjoner mot trusler fra små droner
Innkjøpet er trolig Norges største anskaffelse innenfor antidrone-systemer noen gang.
Effektive og avanserte systemer
De nye systemene vil bestå av sensorer, effektorer og et kommandosystem for kontroll, designet for å oppdage, identifisere og nøytralisere luftbårne trusler.
Systemene skal fleksibilitet i møte med ulike trusseltyper, og skal kunne integreres med Forsvarets eksisterende kommandostrukturer.
Tofaset anskaffelse
Forsvarsmateriell gjennomfører anskaffelsen som en totrinns konkurranse. Første fase innebærer pre-kvalifisering av leverandører, der de beste inviteres til å levere tilbud i fase to. Kun de tre høyest rangerte leverandørene får mulighet til å forhandle om kontrakten. Søknadsfristen for første fase er satt til 13. desember 2024.
Et skritt mot fremtidens forsvar
Denne investeringen reflekterer Forsvarets ønsker om å sikre kritisk infrastruktur i møte med nye og komplekse sikkerhetstrusler. C-UAS-systemene vil også kunne benyttes i krisesituasjoner for å beskytte både militære og sivile interesser, heter det i utlysningen.
