Ukraine's State Aviation Museum ranked among world's
best
Ukraine's National Aviation Museum has been ranked among the top 14
aviation museums in the world, according to CNN.
The complex houses one of the globe's largest displays (20 hectares) of
aviation technology and occupies the sixth place in the rating.
The museum currently offers 90 exhibits, including supersonic bomber
planes, cargo aircrafts, nuclear missile carriers, helicopters and drones, which
were used by the Soviet Air Forces, Ukraine's Air Forces or exploited for civil
aviation.
However, most of the exhibited planes are those produced during Soviet
times.
One of the most impressive exhibits is the Tupolev-104 aircraft - the
world's first jet airliner which made its first passenger flight in 1956,
between Moscow and Irkutsk.
Ukraine's National Aviation Museum is operated by Ukraine's National
Aviation University, which uses the site for training and education.
