Welcome to your RAeS July e–Newsletter.
Following the
results of the recent UK referendum, RAeS President Prof Chris Atkin CEng FRAeS
has issued a statement to all members and we offer
some initial analysis and commentary below.
In other news
though, it is that time of year again! The aerospace community is preparing to
gather for a summer of airshows, with RIAT just around the corner and Farnborough not long after that we encourage our
members to visit our stand where we will have staff available to answer your
membership and professional registration questions. Our Young Members will also be demonstrating some
exciting things including a 3D Printer and wind tunnel.
Future's day will be landing at Farnborough Air
Show on Friday 15th July, if you are or know anyone aged between 11 – 21 who
wants to get first-hand experience of exciting and varied careers available in
aerospace, come and find us at Farnborough. Keep up to date with news on
futures day via their twitter account here!
The next closing
date for membership applications is 2nd August. If you
have been thinking about upgrading, professional registration or you know
someone who has been thinking about applying, now is the time to submit an
application.
