(Red.)

  1. Ukrainian officials report more Russian strikes

Meanwhile, we're receiving reports of attacks in Ukraine.

The governor of the Kherson region says one person died during Russian shelling of a residential building. "The information is being clarified," Oleksandr Prokudin adds in a post on Telegram.

And in Kharkiv, civilian infrastructure has reportedly been damaged by air strikes. In his own Telegram post, Oleg Sinegubov, the head of the regional administration, accuses Russia of striking "more than six blows".

He says some of these hit central parts of the city of Kharkiv - somewhere we reported shelling a bit earlier. The BBC has verified images of damaged buildings in the city.

  2. UN Security Council meeting to take place later today, Russia says

As we reported earlier, Russia has requested a meeting of the UN Security Council in the light of events in Belgorod.

Now, Russian news agency TASS is quoting the Russian Permanent Mission to the UN as saying that the meeting will take place at 21:00 GMT.
