Russisk kinesisk samøvelse ved Japanske øyer - Twitter

Around 4pm on Thursday, July 4th, the #Japan Maritime Self-Defense Forces confirmed a Russian Navy Dubna-class supply ship sailing southeast in the waters about 40km southwest of the Kusagaki Islands (Kagoshima Prefecture). At around 6pm on the same day, they confirmed three vessels sailing east in the same area: a Chinese Navy Jiangkai II-class frigate (ship number "572"), a Luyang III-class guided missile destroyer (ship number "175"), and a Russian Navy Steregushchiy-class frigate (ship number "333").


Then, from Thursday the 4th to Friday the 5th, it was confirmed that these four vessels sailed east through the Osumi Strait and headed toward the Pacific Ocean.

Among these vessels, one Russian Navy Steregushchiy-class frigate (ship number "333") is the same one that sailed southwest through the Tsushima Strait from Wednesday the 3rd to Thursday the 4th.

The Self-Defense Forces conducted #warningandsurveillanceand #intelligencegathering with the Maritime Self-Defense Force's 13th Escort Division "Jintsu" (Sasebo) and 1st Air Group "P-1" (Kanoya).
