A float-equipped Quest Kodiak 100 made a hard landing on the East River due to waves; it bounced, and the left float broke off. The incident occurred on the east side of Manhattan, near the Manhattan ferry terminal and the Skyport terminal, at 23rd Street and the FDR Drive.
The 8 occupants were rescued.
Two passengers sustained minor injuries.
