The Pentagon office responsible for weapons innovation is seeking a
“revolutionary leap” in design for a faster and more maneuverable Next
Generation Hypersonic Cruise Missile.
In a
“Request for Information” (RFI), the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency
is asking for submissions for a scramjet-powered missile that can fly more than
five times the speed of sound and also evade advanced missiles.
