Javier Milei was elected to reform Argentina’s economy. This week, instead, he played the nationalism card and noisily restated Argentina’s claim to the Falkland Islands, including in an interview with The Economist. The British (who won a brief war over the islands in 1982) are not about to hand them over. The gambit has more to do with Mr Milei’s declining political position at home.
