—BAE Deck Launcher. BAE Systems performed the first live-fire test of its Adaptable Deck Launcher (ADL) missile launching solutions that aims to increase the combat capability and adaptability across the U.S. Navy and allied forces, the company said on Oct. 27. ADL was developed under a DoD contract for the NATO Seasparrow Project Office (NSPO) and is designed to provide the reliability of a Vertical Launching System (VLS) and low-cost operation by using an existing Mk 41 VLS logistics and electronics suite. The ADL specifically was developed by the Mk 41 VLS mechanical design agent for full compatibility with the Evolved SeaSparrow Missile Mk 25 Quad-Pack canisters, “which provide surface-to-air defense for ships against supersonic anti-ship missiles, aircraft and other aerial threats,” BAE said in a statement. The company said ADL can provide anti-air defense to aircraft carriers, amphibious ships and other surface combatants and can come in a compact configuration that it called “ideal for medium unmanned surface vessels.”

A Learjet 60, N722BD, impacted the ground in Greenacres, Florida. The aircraft disintegrated and a fire erupted. Nine people were onboard.
ADS-B data indicate the flight departed Austin (AUS), Texas, at 15:37 UTC. Destination of the flight was North Eleuthera (ELH/MYEH), Bahamas.
After passing Naples, Florida, at FL410, the flight descended to FL350 and turned left, heading north-east.
At 17:48 UTC, the aircraft began heading east and briefly climbed to FL354. From that point on the aircraft made a descending right-hand turn and an increasing rate of descent to over -30000 feet per minute.
It impacted the side of Sout Military Trail in Greenacres, Florida at 17:49 UTC.
At the time of the accident, a Convective SIGMET was active for the accident area.

Vi trenger sårt droner i overvåkingsrollen og Andøya er valgt av fagspesialistene som det beste stedet for operasjon av store droner, men ikke noe som helst liv i helikopterporvalg til Hæren og Spesialstyrkene. Under ser du en åpenbar kandidat, faktisk min favoritt, som norsk, mellomstor drone i MALE (Medium Altitude Long Endurance) kategorien. Forøvrig mener jeg at Kystartilleriet må gjenopplives med flyttbare NSM batterier langs Finnmarkskysten. (Red.)
