A Bolivian Air Force Lockheed C-130H Hercules, operated by TAB SA and carrying new banknotes, overshot runway 28 when landing at El Alto International Airport (LPB/SLLP), El Alto, and crashed into a high-traffic area along Costanera Avenue, El Alto.
The crew of six and least fourteen other people perished and at least thirty were injured and the aircraft was destroyed.
