NASA to speak at ONS 2016
World technology leader, National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), to present at ONS in Stavanger in August.
ONS is proud to announce that Gary L. Martin, Director of Partnerships at NASA’s Ames Research Center in Silicon Valley, and Michael Furlong, Senior Scientist with Stinger Ghaffarian Technologies in the NASA Ames Intelligent Robotics Group (IRG), will speak at ONS Technical Sessions and ONS Centre Court.

and present NASA’s achievements and visions at ONS Technical Sessions, more specifically at Session 1: “Technological quantum leaps – how technology changed industries” and at Session 5: “Technological quantum leaps in the oil and gas industry.”

The two gentlemen will also be keynote speakers at a special session on research and development at ONS Centre Court, on the afternoon of 30 August.
“It is a great pleasure and an honour for us to have NASA, the very manifestation of the term ‘high tech,’ speak at our Technical Sessions,” says Leif Johan Sevland, President and CEO of the ONS Foundation.
“We are excited to participate in ONS 2016. Increasingly, we are finding common ground between space technology meant for exploring the moon and Mars and the technologies we need on Earth, such as those needed for oil and gas exploration,” according to Mr Martin.
