Ukraina: F-16-pilot drept under storstilt angrep

Russland skal ha sendt 477 droner og avfyrt 60 missiler mot Ukraina natt til søndag, opplyser ukrainske myndigheter.

Ukrainske myndigheter opplyser også at en ukrainsk F-16-pilot ble drept under avverging av det storstilte angrepet.

Narrative:
On 29 June 2025, a Ukrainian Air Force F-16AM was lost while attempting to counter a Russian drone attack. The aircraft was lost as a result of collision with a drone or its debris, striking the aircraft during combat.

The pilot Pidpolkovnyk Maksyim Ustymenko was killed as a result, as he did not have time to eject.

The loss of the aircraft and pilot was confirmed by the Ukrainian Air Force, stating that Ustymenko had managed to down seven aerial drones, before being damaged by another.
