Video appears to show US F-15 fighter jet crashing in Kuwait

Footage verified by the BBC appears to show the moment an F-15 fighter jet falls from the sky and crashes to the ground near Kuwait City.

The video was filmed from the west of the city, on the edge of the Al Jahra area.

Earlier on Monday, Kuwait's ministry of defence said "several American fighter aircraft came down this morning" with all crews having "survived unscathed".

Unverified footage on social media also appeared to show the same aircraft falling, with other images purporting to show an unidentified pilot being rescued after ejecting from the aircraft.

All Aircrew Eject Safely

Three U.S. Air Force F-15E Strike Eagles went down over Kuwait on March 2 during Operation Epic Fury, the U.S. campaign against Iran, but all aircrew ejected safely. Tusenvis av ferierende er strandet i det kritiske området fordi luftrommet er stengt. Dette har bokstavelig talt ligget i luften i noen uker nå. Om UD har utgitt reiseråd vet jeg ikke, men Avinor har visst dette i månedsvis, altså at området var utilrådelig å fly i. Å reise dit har vært en elendig ide.

Jeg har skrevet før at jeg venter på massive droneangrep av amerikanske hangarskip. Det har enda ikke skjedd.

Trump sier dette vil vare i 4 uker. Det kan bli adskillig lengre fordi "noen" må ha feet on the ground for å kaste regimet og endre det til noe tilsynelatende demokratisk. Det betyr at Revolusjonsgarden må kaste våpnene. Det er det lite som tyder på nå. De er jo lønnet av regimet.

Angrepet er ikke populært blant den amerikanske befolkningen. Kun 25% støtter angrepet. Det var før de begynte å miste personell og fly. BBC.

If you were watching Iranian state TV in early December 2011, you would have seen an unusual flying object paraded in front of viewers. Windowless, squat, with a pointed nose, its two wings made it the shape of a manta ray. The trophy on show was an RQ-170 Sentinel stealth drone, a key weapon in the intelligence gathering arsenal of the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). Standing in a hangar on a military airfield, the drone was seemingly undamaged. Indeed, Iranian officials insisted that it had not been shot down; rather, they claimed an unusual coup: to have hacked the drone while it was flying near Iran’s border over Afghanistan and forced it to land.
