In-flight Flight Crew Rest Facilities In-flight crew rest facilities are an important part of fatigue risk management on long-range and ultra-long-range operations with augmented flight crews. Their location, design, accessibility, privacy, and environmental conditions affect the quality of rest crews can get during flight. This paper sets out IFALPA’s position on the design and operational considerations for flight crew rest facilities to support flight safety, crew wellbeing, and effective risk management.
