Army pivoting from multiyear to agile contracting structure with new Black Hawk award
The Army today announced an undefinitized contract action with Sikorsky to build 16 UH-60M Black Hawk helicopters. The contract includes the option to add more aircraft over the next year either for the U.S. Army or through foreign military sales, company officials told reporters this week. According to a Pentagon contract notice posted today, the fixed-price-incentive, undefinitized modification is for $234 million, which brings the cumulative value of the contract to $356 million.
