Newly developed by SCSI staff, this course looks at the fundamental principles of the human role in unmanned operations by reviewing current systems and looking at best practices as well as some of the shortfalls of current practices. We look at human error and the role it has played in aviation, before moving on to consider the implications for designers and operators be they piloting or maintaining the unmanned system. We also cover UAS accident investigation techniques including the role of telemetry in the reconstruction of accidents and the potential pitfalls.
