SAR - Dear Mr. President

Dear Mr. President,
Since you, as Commander in Chief of the United States of America, have decided that you would like to read my private mails and my blog, this is for you, or you guys at the National Security Agency:

I cannot fathom what caused the award winning helicoptertype Sikorsky S-92A to be downselected from the ongoing process wherby we are to select a New Search and Rescue helicopter after the venerable Sea King. Did you yourself, your politicians or military have anything to do with this? OK, I`m personally not so fond of the S-92A due to cockpit conditions, oh, you already knew that, but as a SAR machine, I believe it will be a suitable follow-on to the Sea King, which also is of Sikorsky design. No, it`s not Russian, it`s American. Could it be a mix-up there? You see, what we have ended up with is a competition between the smaller EC225 and the British/Italian AW101. The latter is much more expensive to purchase and to operate than the smaller type, so we may end up with a midget of a SAR machine if the bean counters are to decide. You are doing your best in improving on the employment rate in your country. The Sikorsky guys up in Stratford will loose the opportunity to assemble another 16 large helicopters. Yes, 16! Perhaps 22. Heck, I don`t know what they`ll do with all these, they just need 12, so I guess they`ll do police work and pull military duty as well. No, these are civilian machines, but with military markings and operated by the military, can you believe? Never-the-less, just see to have them back into competition again.
Sequestration? Between us, this is a funny system where the commies must have influenced the leftists in both parties. Yes, it is the stupidest thing I`ve ever heard of, and in God`s Own country! Just see to have the S-92A back in there....

I read that The White House is urging Congress to reject an attempt to stop the National Security Agency collecting Americans' phone records. You`re definitely better off having the NSA on your side.
