Dear Colleagues, Today, on World Pilots’ Day, we pay tribute to the individuals behind every safe takeoff and landing - the people who dedicate their lives to aviation safety - to you, the pilots! At IFALPA – The Global Voice of Pilots, our mission goes beyond borders, airspace, and time zones. We stand for the global pilot community, for those advocating to preserve the highest level of safety with two pilots on the flight deck at all times, ensuring safe runway operations, and promoting a strong positive safety culture, to those who aspire to make the profession appealing for younger generations while securing their right to representation at the negotiation table. We honor those who face down adversity in under-equipped regions, those pushing for their basic labor agreements, and those building a better, safer industry from the ground up together with their local partners. We lead progress on international standards through collaboration with ICAO and other stakeholders, advocating for rigorous training, modern regulation, and the continued elevation of our noble profession.
