Third Mi-38 Prototype Begins Testing
The third prototype of the Mi-38 transport helicopter equipped with TV7-117V engines has completed its first flight. Alexander Mikheev, CEO of Russian Helicopters, said the new engines bring a "significantly broader range of potential applications" to the helicopter. The flight occurred on Nov. 29, and the test results will allow the transition from in-house certification test to Russian AP-29 standards.
