Decline In Fuel Costs Worries Offshore Helicopter Operators
While most of the air transport industry welcomes a reduction in the price of oil, it is more of a concern for those in the oil and gas support business. Since helicopters are thirsty machines and gulp down significantly more fuel than their fixed-wing brethren, a decrease in their direct operating costs is extremely welcome. But on the other hand, the falling price of oil means declining revenues for the oil company clients of the operators and their grand plans for future projects.
