A new helicopter-borne U.K. counterterror air unit responded to
the June 2 terror attacks at the London Bridge, according to
various British media, which has dubbed the unit “Blue Thunder”
for its unmarked helicopter in blue civilian livery.

Police shot and killed three individuals after attackers drove a
van into pedestrians at the London landmark then stabbed and
slashed people in the nearby Borough Market area. Seven
civilians were killed and dozens injured, many critically, in the
attacks, which U.K. officials have linked to the Islamic State
network.
