They got so much right with this design it’s remarkable.

Product of late 60s/early 70s tech. F-15EX has 20k hour

airframe life. Current fighters have 6-8k (need SLEP/close monitoring/restrictions from there). Eagles will be in

service well into the back half of the 21st Century.
