US military completes construction on temporary Gaza pier

U.S. military personnel have completed construction on the floating pier off Gaza’s coast, the Pentagon said Tuesday. Weather conditions make it unsafe to put the dock in place to begin transporting aid into Gaza, but defense officials hope to have it in position later this week.
