Boeing has released a new CV-22 Osprey video that describes the story of a mission flown by the US Air Force's 20^th Special Operations Squadron in 2011 over Afghanistan.

"Approximately one mile out, we began experiencing small arms fire," says Capt Will Thompson. "And right as we were passing over it, I could say the valley exploded with fire. I'd never seen anything like it before."

While the video describes the mission, the footage was obviously not shot during actual combat operations.
