A Dassault Falcon 50, 9H-DFS, crashed about 30 minutes after takeoff from Ankara Esenboğa Airport (ESB/LTAC). The flight took off from Ankara Esenboğa Airport at 20:17, bound for Tripoli. At 20:31 local time, the aircraft, while at approximately FL320, made a PAN-PAN call. The flight reported a general electrical malfunction and requested radar vectoring to return to Ankara. The controller then gave heading and descent instructions level to return to Esenboğa Airport. At 20:33 local time, the pilot declared an emergency. It was observed that the aircraft's altitude information could no longer be tracked on radar. The flight was then instructed to contact Esenboğa Approach Control, which they did at 20:35. At 20:36, the pilot's voice became difficult to hear by the controller. Furthermore, there were partial losses of flight information on the radar screen. At 20:38 the flight disappeared from radar. The aircraft reportedly crashed on Selamalmaz Hill, 2 kilometers south of Haymana Kesikkavak Village. There were eight occupants on board, including the Chief of Staff of the Libyan Armed Forces, General Mohammed Ali Ahmed Al-Haddad.
