US pilots against FAA proposal to study single-pilot cargo Aircraft
US pilot labor groups have spoken out against a provision of proposed FAA reauthorization legislation that would start research into single-piloted cargo aircraft. Section 744 of the FAA Reauthorization Act of 2018 (H.R. 4) calls for the FAA, in consultation with NASA to “establish a research and development program in support of single-piloted cargo aircraft assisted with remote piloting and computer piloting.”
